Microneedling

What is Microneedling?

With age, the skin’s ability to regenerate new cells and collagen slows down. Improper care, aging, Sun exposure and other trauma contribute to scarring, pigmentation, fine lines, and overall pore size and texture. Micro-Needling (a.k.a. Percutaneous Collagen Induction Therapy or PCIT) is an innovative aesthetic procdure used to treat fine lines, acne scars and improve the skin appearance by creating controlled wounds into the skin triggering a release of natural growth factors, new collagen & elastin.

What Can I Expect?

The skin’s repair process begins almost immediately. The microinjuries stimulate the body’s innate wound healing cascade to create new collagen, remodel old collagen, and improve the function of the tissues. New collagen and elastin production results in younger, healthier, plumper, and firmer skin, effectively reducing the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, acne scars for an overall better tone and texture.

How Many Treatments Will I Need It?

Microneedling stimulates growth factors and production of collagen in the skin, promoting new skin cell generation. With age, the collagen production naturally slows down. I recommend  Microneedling 4-6 weeks apart for maintenance in conjunction with daily home care for optimal results. As your  skincare professional, I can recommend what is best for your skin type and condition.
